It constantly amazes me how many individuals with spook National Security credentials who work for both Clinton and Bush. Do you remember just after Iraq's invasion of Kuwait the women who testified before Congress about seeing Iraqi troops throw Kuwaiti babies out of incubators to take back to Iraq? The story was a complete fabrication made up by the PR giant Hill & Knowlton. The woman who invented the story was named by Clinton to promote US exports. WALL STREET JOURNAL, June 17, 1994 "Commerce Nominee Is Approved by Senate" WASHINGTON -- The Senate approved President Clinton's nominee to a top Commerce Department post after squelching some Republicans' questions about her lobbying efforts for Kuwait before the Persian Gulf War. Lauri Fitz-Pegado, a senior vice president at Hill & Knowlton (a multinational "public relations" firm) with long experience in international relations, will be assistant secretary of commerce and director general of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service, with responsibility for export promotions. (Will the USA resume exports of chem and bio weapons to Iraq?) The vote yesterday was 69-30; all but three of the 30 opponents were Republicans. (The Democrats clearly voicing a pro-propaganda vote.) Led by freshman Sen. Lauch Faircloth of North Carolina, they unsuccessfully sought hearings to determine what part the nominee might have played to get the U.S. to intervene militarily after Kuwait's 1990 invasion of Iraq. (HELLO, Democrats. Missing in Action -- again.) Kuwait was a lobbying client of Hill & Knowlton (to the tune of $1 million/week), the big public relations firm, and Ms. Fitz-Pegado had a role in the much-publicized congressional testimony of a Kuwaiti teenager who claimed to have witnesses Iraqi soldiers remove Kuwaiti babies from incubators to die on the floor. (The teenager was in Washington at the time.) The report was credited with fanning U.S. public opinion to intervene, and only later was the girl identified as the daughter of Kuwait's ambassador in Washington. the baby deaths were never substantiated. Ms. Fitz-Pegado's Senate backers said she didn't know the teenager was the ambassador's daughter, and had no reason to believe the sensational testimony was false. _____ >From an ASSOCIATED PRESS report also from June 17, 1994 After graduating from Vassar College, she (Fitz-Pegado) earned a master's degree from John Hopkins University in international studies and later worked for the U.S. Information Agency (a CIA propaganda front) and Council of Foreign Governments. She represented foreign governments during her work in the private sector. _____ These relationships between Clinton's and Bush's spook associates add further evidence that the CIA has much to do with Bill Clinton and George Bush becoming President of the United States.
