Their specific concern, as well as my own, is to learn why no one was prosecuted in Arkansas despite a mountain of evidence that Seal was using Arkansas as his principal staging area during the years 1982 through 1985. Because your office touched on these matters during the Iran-Contra investigation, I, along with Congressman Bill Alexander of Arkansas and a number of my fellow Arkansans, ask that you direct your continuing investigation towards the events which occurred at the Mena, Arkansas airport. The people of Arkansas need, and deserve, a final and full accounting of this matter, and it is our hope that the Office of Independent Council can provide one.
