And Bush supported Saddam, as did Reagan, which Saddam started. Back then Iran was the official enemy, and only us radicals mentioned that Iraq started the war. Only us radicals mention Saddam's viciousness. Of course, we were called supporters of the Ayatollah for pointing out US Admin. hypocrisy. Then called pro-Noriega for pointing out CIA supported thug, turned against him when he no longer supported CIA's dirty war against Nicaragua. A country of only 17 million people in possesion of the world's fourth largest army deserves to have a financial crisis. The U.S. has a bigger army, and "deserves" (those in power, alas, not us) a bigger domestic crisis. Consider the following rankings of the U.S.: Ranking in: Rank: Literacy 49th Infant mortality 20th (The U.S. is the only wetern industrialized country other than South Africa without a national health care system for all its citizens.) per capita in prison 1st Debtor nation 1st Am I supposed to feel bad because they are constantly running short of money because Saddam takes ALL the money and builds up his military. That's how militarist bastards (again, supported by Reagan/Bush despite horrific human rights record, as today in U.S.-supported El Salvador, Guatemala, etc) like Saddam operate. Boy, can I relate to what you're saying, running short of money because they take "all" the money and build up the military; to the tune of some 300,000,000,000 per year, when experts quoted in New York Times (don't have ref. for this one) say 100 billion more than enough; that's a theft from us to the military contractors of nearly 200 Billion dollars. Plus of the 300 billion, about 100 went in *this year's* defense budget to defend Europe against a Soviet invasion. I'm not advocating $0 on European defense, but 100 billion, after all the changes in east block, "we" go ahead and keep things at same old (already infalted) levels. We are in the this war not for oil or even freedom but to take out Saddam So reason THEY gave, for why THEY have sent US to die for THEM, you agee, are lies. before he starts WW3. Not to say that he may not already have done so since this present war is not over yet. Let's get one thing staight: Saddam, the bastartd, "started it" in Kuwait (after all, he would say, the political pressure he put on Kuwait were given "long enough a chance" and "didn't work"); Bush, the bastard who will murder 10,000's or 100,000's or middle eastern civilians and draftees, and probably 100's or 1,000's or Americans, "started it" in the war on Iraq. ray --- end of quoted material --- [included my article re "how joyous"]
