I didn't log on until it had already gone out .... oh well. Sorry I haven't gotten back to your or gotten much of anything else we mentioned done yet ... it seems like there isn't enough time in the day. I'd personally like to write up an article stressing (similarly to what you mentioned in this last note) that progressives must (excuse the expression) capitalize on the current anti-war movement to educate people about the broader issues of which it is a part (i.e. govt corruption, domestic propaganda, secret govt, death squad activity etc). We need to do some serious grassroots education, as you say, before the demon hussein fades into history. I also need to do some more work on the archives, and to send out a blurb for financing the ladb stuff. Presently I feel more like a mail gateway than an activist! Not that I mind ... it has to be done, but it will be nice when pach is online and I have more time for such things. Anyway: ladb hasn't posted anything to me or to peacenet in some time. I suspect they're on holiday or something. Please do write up something on pach to post to the net if you have the time .. the way things are going I probably won't be able to get to it very soon. I too sense this "casual activism" you're talking about. Reading all this material about demonstrations and such lulls one into a false sense of confidence. The urgency of the situation in the gulf, el salvador, guatemala, nicaragua, not to mention the city streets of the US, can't be over-stressed. The list definitely needs more background material. Hope your financial situation improves soon ... Rich
