If and when the new misc.activism.general conference becomes established, a newgroup message would be sent out to all systems on the net, including the IGC machine ("cdp" in Menlo Park, California - operated by Community Data Processing). The net result will be that all of a sudden, many arti- cles which have come from various IGC conferences (their term for news- groups) start finding their way back into the cdp machine - something like a _Reader's_Digest_ or _Utne_Reader_ kind of thing: "the best of IGC."
