Presumably these drugs permanently alter brain receptors associated
with the pleasurable effects of the targeted "illicit" drug.  These
receptors are normally triggered by naturally occurring endorphins,
so the "vaccination" may permanently remove the possibility of
experiencing the type of pleasure mediated by that endorphin.  I
wonder if these rocket scientists have considered that possibility.
Apparently they consider it a price worth paying and intend to force
their scientific value judgement on vulnerable children.

Even more alarming is virally mediated receptor manipulation.  What's
next, virally transmitted prozac?  Then everyone can share the
benefits of medically administered social control.

Medicine is increasingly dictating, based on transient cultural
norms, what it means to be human.  Once upon a time, women were
owned by their husbands, and medicine (specifically psychiatry)
enforced such ownership with equal vigor, even long after such laws
were changed.

I say the problem is malignant medicine, and the "cure" will take place
in the social, not the biological realm.
